Canada’s Equine Guelph has created an online “Journey through the Joints” tool to educate horse owners about  joint disease and stages of arthritis.

Sponsored by Zoetis, the healthcare tool looks at prevention, early detection, diagnostic techniques and treatments. It features a 360 degree tour of a horse joint and an actual x-ray to examine.

“We think it’s important for horse people to learn about their horses’ joints,”  says Dr Cathy Rae, manager of Equine Veterinary Services for Zoetis.

“Having a fundamental knowledge of the structure of joints and how they work will help owners better understand the causes and care of lameness.”
